H1N1

SINGAPORE: Singapore has confirmed 30 new cases of H1N1 flu, bringing the total to 629 so far. According to the Health Ministry, 246 patients have fully recovered while the rest are in stable condition.

Together with 105 cases pending investigation on Sunday, 71 have been investigated — comprising 58 local cases and 13 imported ones.

A new cluster has surfaced, comprising three Raffles Institution Boarding School students who have just returned from affected countries.

The greatest number of new cases registered on Monday, however, came from the Republic Polytechnic. It has 17 new cases, bringing the total in the cluster to 66.

There were eight new cases at Clementi Camp, which now has 53 cases. Maju Camp has three new ones, bringing the total there to 22.

At the Police Coast Guard’s Brani Base, one new case brings the total there to five. There were two new cases from the Butter Factory nightspot.

These latest cases mean locally acquired ones now make up 54 per cent of all confirmed H1N1 cases in Singapore.

Michael Jackson died without his nose on! These are the last ever photos of the lateMichael Jackson before he was declare dead as he was brought to the hospital. Michael Jackson Had a Heart Attack, Dies At 50

Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, has died of cardiac arrest in his LA home. He was 50 years old. I was really looking forward to watching him age. Anyway, he may or may not have been a pedophile. One thing is for sure, he did make some awesome music in the 80's.

------------------------------------------------------

Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an American recording artist, entertainer, and businessman. The seventh child of the Jackson family, he debuted on the professional music scene at the age of 11 as a member of The Jackson 5 and began a solo career in 1971 while still a member of the group. Referred to as the "King of Pop" in subsequent years, five of his solo studio albums are among the world's best-selling records: Off the Wall (1979), Thriller (1982), Bad(1987), Dangerous (1991) and HIStory (1995).

In the early 1980s, he became a dominant figure in popular music and the firstAfrican-American entertainer to amass a strong crossover following on MTV. The popularity of his music videos airing on MTV, such as "Beat It", "Billie Jean" andThriller—credited for transforming the music video into an art form and a promotional tool—helped bring the relatively new channel to fame. Videos such as "Black or White" and "Scream" made Jackson an enduring staple on MTV in the 1990s. With stage performances and music videos, Jackson popularized a number of physically complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk. His distinctive musical sound and vocal style influenced many hip hop, pop and contemporary R&B artists.

One of the few artists to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, his other achievements include multiple Guinness World Records—including one for "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time"—13 Grammy Awards, 13 number one singles in his solo career—more than any other male artist in the Hot 100 era—and the sales of over 750 million albums worldwide. Cited as one of the world's most famous men, Jackson's highly publicized personal life, coupled with his successful career, made him a part of popular culture for almost four decades.

I HATE LOT1 LIBRARIANS STILL!

Went studying with Kelly and Judith today at lot1 library. So qiao Valerie, Waiying and Wanzhen there to study as well.. When i used to be the librarian there, the malay librarians are damn racist to chinese librarian(me and others) and ppl who visit the library. Today the damn guard of the library pissed me off.
  1. she told me that my laptop adapter is across the floor and is dangerous and want me to shift it to the wall and sit on the floor.
  2. i was teaching kelly math so close my laptop screen down but still having my ear piece on my ear. she said if u are not using plug out the charger and off the switch.
  3. i told her i am using it but after i teach her the math, which takes 3min.
  4. she again ask me to plug off which i say "I AM USING AWHILE LATER" then she look at her watch and walk away.
  5. She turn around and saw valerie and waiying going to eat lunch and said "be back in 15min no longer than that" so i had to move to their table and sit. once they are back i nid to sit on the floor to study and use my laptop.. so EFFING pissed!!
I wanted to buy that cardigan so much but there is a hole on it. And its the last piece. KNN always slower than the others.. Wait for the photos at the photoshop to develop so sit around with judith till done and went home.

Just nice it started to pour heavily.. You know whats best about pouring rains? wearing sth light and simple and sit at the playground under the rain. Enjoying the coolness of the rain and breeze on a hot sunny afternoon. Imaging all your trouble gone like the pouring rain. (but after rain stop trouble comes back).. xD

Here is General Knowledge Post For MellodyN

Why R U Reading My Post!!!

For a couple of years I've been blaming it on lack of sleep and
too much pressure from my job, but now I've found out the
real reason: I'm tired because I'm overworked (
In my case also over poked).

The population of this country is 237 million (
I am no sure about this ).

104 million are retired. That leaves 133 million to do the
work.

There are 85 million in school, which leaves 48 million to do
the work.

Of this there are 29 million employed by the federal
government, leaving 19 million to do the work.

2.8 million are in the Armed Forces, which leaves 16.2 million
to do the work.

Take from the total the 14,800,000 people who work for
state and city governments and that leaves 1.4 million to do
the work.

At any given time there are 188,000 people in hospitals,
leaving 1,212,000 to do the work.

Now, there are 1,211,998 people in prisons.

That leaves just two people to do the work.

You and me.

And you're sitting at your computer reading my post (
No wander I feel so overworked! )!!!

Makes sense right? I kno it does. hahahaha...

Don't Sleep With

1. DON'T SLEEP WITH WATCH

Watches can emit a certain level of radioactivity.

Though small, but if you wear your watch to bed for a long time, it might have adverse effects on your health.

2 DON'T SLEEP WITH BRA

Scientists in America have discovered those that wear bras for more than 12 hours have a higher risk of getting breast cancer. So go to bed without it.

3 DON'T SLEEP WITH PHONE

Putting the phone beside your bed or anywhere near you is not encouraged. Though some of us will use phones as alarm clocks, but please put the phone as ! far as possible. Scientists have proved that electrical items including mobile phone and television sets emit magnetic waves when used. These waves can cause disruptions to our nervous system. Therefore if you need to put your mobile phone near you, switch it off first.

4 DON'T SLEEP WITH MAKE UP

People who sleep with make up might have skin problems in the long run. Sleeping with make up will ! cause the skin to have difficulty in breathing and problem in perspiring. You will also need a much longer time to go into deep sleep.

5 DON'T SLEEP WITH SOMEONES' WIFE / HUSBAND

You may never wake up again.

OMG DIE LA

This afternoon was browsing through my msn when i saw that 2 friends of mine was like listening to the same song. like so qiao.

Went It fair to walk around and help my sis carry back her new laptop. Happily watching Bloody Monday when i got the urge to read my mail. And KNS true enough got a important mail left unread for 5 days.

Ms Ang wants me to do something, not want is need me to do. Cause is my duty, but i dunno how to do.. OMG!

"Announcement
I have just sent a request to put up the above announcement on the SP homepage. Registration is open to year three students from 29 Jun - 14 Aug 2009. (SMAE, please submit proposal and club roster [registration at SAC level 2 from 11am - 1pm] asap.)
Attached is the registration form ... (See attached file: dnd-purchase-form.doc)
"

Die la Die la.. HOW!?!?!?!?!?!????? Thought of studying Engineering Math tomorrow and now i got to think of how to settle the proposal and roster!!

OMG I think Mellodyn will love this doctor

Q: Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life.
Is this true?
A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... don't
waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up
your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can
extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer?
Take a nap.

Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?
A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay
and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more
than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system.
Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass
(green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your
recommended daily allowance of vegetable products.

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit.. Brandy is distilled
wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get
even more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain.
Bottoms up!

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?
A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one.
If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular
exercise program?

A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is:

No Pain...Good!

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?
A: YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!!! ..... Foods are fried these days in
vegetable oil. In fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting
more vegetables be bad for you?

Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the
middle?

A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You
should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: Are you crazy? HELLO Cocoa beans! Another vegetable!!! It's the
best feel-good food around!

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.

Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle?
A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape!

Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had
about food and diets.

And remember:
'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather
to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other -
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What
a Ride'

AND.....

For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on
nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those
conflicting nutritional studies..

1. The Japanese eat very little fat and

suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and

suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and

suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and

suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

5. The Germans drink a lot of beers and

eat lots of sausages and fats and
suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

CONCLUSION

Eat and drink what you like.
Speaking English is apparently what kills you.
